Amen for keeping your faith alive and your spirits high – wishing you continued success on your healthy and life journey.
congratulations on reaching a happy and healthy point in your life!
Awesome story!! You sound like a strong and driven woman.. I can’t wait to read more!
Thanks for commenting on my blog! You’re super cute, and I loved reading your story.
thanks for the comment, love your story!! great to “meet” you
Thank you for sharing your story! I can totally relate when you describe the pressure to remain thin after people telling you that you look great. You start to think, “Maybe I didn’t look great before. I want to look great so I better stay thin, maybe even thinner than I am now…” It’s a terrible thought process and it is NOT true! It sounds like you are striving for real health which promotes all things in moderation and finds identity in Jesus! I’m really happy for you!
Thank you so much for the encouragement girl! and YES thats exactly what I was saying..about people telling you “how great you look”..so not true! You are so sweet!
i love your blog and i can’t wait to keep reading! thanks for commenting on my blog, hope you like it
jenna

cant wait to read ur blog!
love your blog, girl! it’s funny how society almost encourages ED’s since everyone is always commenting on each other’s bodies! why can’t we just comment on each other’s happiness and spirit? hope this blog helps you in however you want. i’m looking forward to seeing more posts. you’re gorgeous!
thank you for the sweet comment girl!! amen to what you said in the beginning!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Glad you did, because I love yours, too! Keep up the great work!
I love your blog!!!!!!
thank you so much!! do you have one?
So glad I happened to stumble on your blog (isn’t that the best part about this crazy thing we do?) I really love what you’ve got going on here, especially how important your FAITH is. Gotta have faith because you know, when the praises go up, the blessings come down. I look forward to much more
Amazing story, Katie. I am so happy you found my blog so that I can now follow yours as well!
Isn’t it crazy how much we can beat ourselves up on the quest to “health”? Or how much pressure we come under to fit molds and constructs determined by those other than ourselves? I’m glad you were able to look past that craziness to see how beautiful and healthy happiness is.
With you on your journey,
Annabel
oh girl I swear our stores are identical. It’s crazy how an innocent pursuit to lose a little bit of weight and adopt a healthier life style can spiral in to such a serious disease. That being said, I am SO THRILLED that you were able to pick yourself up out of that. You are strikingly gorgeous and your smile brightens my day
Can’t wait to continue reading! We can get through the maintenance thing together!! xo
*hugs*
Wow i I am so happy I found your blog. Your story is an inspiration and you seem like a total doll. You have my support and best wishes on your journey. I look forward to reading your blog, and hope you will visit my brand new blog as well
xoxo
What a great story! Thanks for sharing!
Girlfriend, I am sooo happy you started to blog and opened up to share this with the blog community! I am so glad to hear you are living life the way its supposed to be lived now (full of tons of amazing peanut butter and WF goodies). I think everyone in the blogging community has once gone through a struggle with body image and a healthy relationship with food and that’s why EVERYONE is so amazing and supportive!!! So happy I found you and your blog!
You are too cute! Loving the blog!
Hi again! I was trying to find the beginning of where your blog started but I can’t see a calendar on your page. Do you have a link to your first entry? Also, when you post pictures of your meals do you always eat everything that’s on the plate unless otherwise noted? Kind of an odd question…but I am just curious.
What a great story! I love your blog! Hope you have an even better 2010
Great story. I’m hitting the same part in my life too now! Can’t wait to keep reading about how you maintain.
Your a true inspiration. Keep on keepin’ on !
Just found your blog! Amazing story, and I’m very encouraged by your faith too. I’m studying nutrition right now in graduate school, and training to become a dietitian. So I professionally and personally agree with all my heart to your celebration of health! Can’t wait to read more. Happy 2010
The word “inspiration” doesn’t even begin to describe you Katie! I’m so happy to have foudn your blog <3
xo
Congratulations on your recover!
That´s exactly what I need. A way out.
I´m struggling to get back to my normal diet. I simply count calories without noticing I´m doing so…
I believe I must trust in God to get over.
Congrats, again!
Brazilian kisses,
Gabriela
I’ve been wanting to leave you a comment for ages now so here goes!
We have a really similar history and I really find your optimism has helped me in my recovery.
I read your blog everyday
To answer your question, I brought a packet of cream of wheat to eat in class on Tuesday! I definitely got some stares…. I love my yogurt messes in the morning and am working towards ONE DAY bringing one to school but am worried people will think it is disgusting! haha
I don’t have a blog but would love to hear back from you sometime
Take care girl and keep up the inspiring posts!!
Your blog is really refreshing and “different”. I love the faith aspect of it and seeing how it is such a huge part of your healthy lifestyle. Can’t wait to read more of yours as well and thanks for the blog comment
I jsust finished reading your story and am so there with you. Ive been having food issues for the past three years and didnt even realize how much of my life i am wasting until i said that out loud. I love that you draw strength from God and just wanted to let you know i am here for you if you ever need anything.
Praise Him and God Bless you.
I can’t believe it has taken me this long to jump over to your blog! I see your comments all over the place and I always like what you say. I am so glad I jumped over here today because your site rocks! I love your story and you seem so real! I can’t wait to keep reading along!
Congrats on overcoming your struggle! I too know how hard it can be on a daily basis, but my faith is also the number one thing that helped me overcome my struggles and keeps on helping everyday. Take care, J
Like Kelly (above) said, I have seen your comments on a couple blogs, but I am so glad to finally come over here! I love hearing about your faith and I can’t wait to read more!
Katie,
Your story encouraged me today and it’s great to see how your desire to eat healthy has remained with you from the beginning. It sounds like you have a good support team around you and look forward to following you on your journey.

Especially people like myself that have allot fo food allergies and also people on the go that need help getting xtra meals in there day. Some of the balls thast we make have 15 rgams of protein.Perfect to throw in your purse or gym bag and help keep you a metabolic machine. I too train allot of people in my spare time(not much of that) but hey its my passion and not gonna quit till everyone is rock’in out and feeling good about themselves.Would love to speak with you about our products and see if there is a way we can help eachother. 800 242 5205 …John
It pumps me up that your faith is a big part of your blog! Ah – love the three Fs!
Food and Fitness are definitely biggies for me, but that’s not uncommon among our fellow bloggers. Faith isn’t talked about as much, so I’m not sure where everyone stands…but I love that you’ve incorporated it into your blog. Faith is important in my life, too!
I really love the concept of your blog. As a person also very committed to their faith, it is nice to be able to read about another blogger who feels the same way. I think we often forget how much we depend on God for the strength and instead, get wrapped up into “fulfilling” or “substituting” God’s presence in our lives for physical, fleeting, material things. Look forward to reading your blog!
Just came across your blog for the first time. Thanks for sharing! I look forward to reading more.
I really enjoyed reading your story! It is so easy to forget that when we go through tough times, God has never left our side. It’s great to see that you acknowledged him in your trials and he certainly helped you through. I am excited to read more on your blog as I am impressed of how open you are about your faith. I too want to combine God and health together, because as in all cases, putting God first in our life is the only way to truly look and feel complete.
I just discovered your blog today and I love it! I’m adding you to my Google Reader and I look forward to reading more.
Hi there,
I just discovered your blog and wanted to say well done to getting better. It must be tough taking about it yet by being honest and open about it, you are helping so many people who are able to relate to your story.
I’ve been always fit my whole life and remember that at one stage, I got very close to over-exercising because it made me feel I was in control. I moved abroad and that saved me in the end, had I stayed at home I think it could have gone out of hand.
I’m looking forward to following you along.
Thanks for the comment! Your blog looks really inspiring! I look forward to following the rest of your journey! (and catching up on the rest!!!!)
xxx
I love you blog! I just started reading it, because I am so new to the blogging world. I am also just starting to go back to church so your blog means a lot more to me. I love some of the quotes. Do you have an archive button anywhere so I can go back and read other things? Haha your probably like stop commenting, I think this may be my third lol.
Your story is honest and inspiring. Oh and I’m always in for a celebration, here’s to health and happiness!!
I’m in a similar situation as you are in. I’ve been told many times that I should go inpatient, but I’ve been fighting against it and doing better taking care of myself. I’m learning that life is way too short miss out on things and being with people that make life worth living! YAY life
Em
Hey! your blog is great and I enjoy reading it because you’re such a positive person
I love this post!!!
Seriously, I feel so guilty eating 2,000 calories when I look at other women who are eating only 1200-1600… It really helps me to know im not the only one eating this much and staying in shape.
I question sometimes if im eating to much, its hard when I compare myself to other and I cant trust my body..
anyway, thank you for you inspiration!!
ps
you look amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just found your blog and I love it! I’ll be adding it as a regular reading! Good work
Wow, what an inspiration you are! I’m 17 years old and am in the tough process of overcoming an eating disorder that has taken so much out of of me. I’m on the road to recovery and am too, passionate about food and fitness. I just started my blog after reading around every since my recovery process and jus recently stumbled across yours. Glad I did!
I just found your blog and wanted to say congrats on finding a good balance! It’s hard with all the pressures to look a certain way to just live healthy and be happy. Your story is inspiring that you did it by leaning on your faith and desire to be happy. Way to go!
what a great story! thanks so much for sharing so openly…consider me a reader now!
Hey thanks for stopping by my blog! I just started a week ago so I am still searching for fun reads! It looks like you have an interesting healthy lifestyle and that’s what I am all about!
Such an amazing story! You are truly an inspiring person! The Lord is absolutely amazing!
You have a really beautiful story, thank you for sharing it!! Id love to add you to my blog roll! <3
Just recently came across your blog and love it! I have a similar past as yourself with food and body image. However, that is beyond me now, but I still love good healthy foods and love to get in a good workout since nothing feels better than sweat ha!
just officially read your blog! what a great story. thanks for sharing, you are radiant!
You have such a great story my lady- thanks so much for sharing. God does some amazing things and your story is proof of his work.
Also, I have to say that you are amazingly gorgeous!!
I’m glad I found your blog. I too struggled with perfectionism that often resulted in overexercising and unhealthy eating habits, but I am happy to say that through my relationship with Christ… I was able to let all that go. It’s wonderful to realize our self-esteem is rooted in something eternal and internal… not external. It’s all about grace and love, and living in this wonderful place of balance and moderation is muuuuch more pleasant than where I was before. I am always happy to find fellow bloggers who have had a similar journey! I look forward to following your site!!
Oh my goodness… when I read your story I almost felt like I was reading about my own life. I am still working my way along my road to recovery. It’s exactly as you say: Some days are better, some days are worse. However, I am so grateful to know that I have the support of family, friends and the Lord… there are so many better things in life than allowing food/exercise to control. Besides, the best way to enjoy food/exercise is to embrace it, not make it the enemy.
Wow… your story is exactly like mine… down to the fact it was a week before inpatient.
I still freak out sometimes, and relapse into the same thoughts, but we need to rely on God and come together as girls to BE STRONG!
I love knowing there’s someone with the same past and struggles :]
We are SO alike. I LOVEEEEEEE Jesus, exercising, eating healthy, and babysitting, just like you. But, I too, struggled with an ED when I was younger. I am SO much better now, but I still struggle every now and then. I’m so thankful for God and how amazing He is! Thanks for blogging!
Your story’s very inspiring! and it’s true gaining weights not as easy as everyone thinks. When I first went about it, all I heard was “eat a bunch of junk and be a couch potato” ugh. Anyway, I’m glad you’re back to being healthy and have kept your love for the Lord and health!
Love it<3
