Internal Rest + Eats + NEW RECIPE!!

February 8, 2012

Hey Loves! Happy Wednesday!

How is your week so far? Mine is great! Its been busy, but so good. I actually love being busy! It keeps me going and keeps me on top of things. Although I will say, I DO need my down time and my rest time with the Lord!! Its so refreshing for my soul! Sometimes we can get so caught up in the “business” of life that we can miss being intimate with our Heavenly Dad!!! If we are going and going nonstop (even good things), we can easily start to do things out of our own strength, and then end up exhausted and tired. Thankfully God is powerful enough that He can take ALL of our burdens and stress! I NEED Him!! We are weak by ourselves! I have learned all of this the hard way (I am SO stubborn- God is so patient with me!) and am still learning all of this! Ive also learned that if I am not intimate with the Father, then I say things that are NOT out of the overflow of my heart, words that the Lord doesnt breath behind, and I would much rather His words come out of my mouth than mine!!

Here are some things I have enjoyed lately:

Oats w. Naner in a yogurt container! and coffee of course :)

Had this wrap for lunch- turkey, hummus, TJS garlic chicken sausage, sweet peppers, spicy mustard, vinegar, lettuce!

Other part of lunch- wrap with avocado (hidden under there), egg, peppers, salsa, jalapenos!

YUMM Kashi golean w. strawberries!

Pumpkin oats w. CC+yogurt+peanut flour mixture on top!

Kashi golean+naner+journal+bible! best way to start the morning!!

Healthy Buffalo Chicken Casserole (for one!)

-2 Chicken Tenders

-1 Slice turkey bacon

-1 Egg

-1 Laughing Cow Blue Cheese Wedge

-1/3rd cup greek yogurt

-cheddar cheese

-Buffalo sauce

-Onions, Garlic, Salt, Pepper

Cook the chicken, turkey bacon, and egg in a pan. Put into bowl and mix with yogurt and buffalo sauce and blue cheese wedge along with seasonings! Put in a small casserole dish, top with cheddar cheese, and bake until the cheese is melted! (I did about 10 minutes at 400)

I had this alongside a wrap with beans and veggies. It was so good!!! and CHEEESY!

So far, “the plan” is going great! (see last post), its NOT a rigid thing, its very easy to follow and fun!! Yesterday I was way hungrier than normal, so I ate more. Its simple. Its learning how to listen to your body!!

Love you ALL!!!

1. Whats your favorite mix-in with cereal?! Im on such a cereal kick these days!

2. Favorite wrap combo?! I am also on a wrap KICK!

3. Do you like being busy?

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” -Matthew 11:28-30

Caserole is looking like the bomb. I have been really busy lately with life endevours and problems (not so much good things ahah!). I do like it though when it’s things I like!

I would really like to know more about your nutrition plan. I am very intrigued. I would love to find out if i’m meeting all of my requirements..i’m sure there would be areas that I could improve on!

Cereal add in: I’ve been mixing protein powder or peanut flour with a bit of almond milk to make little “cookie dough” bites and plopping them into my bowl with cereal and milk. So dang delish!!!

Oh my goodness, I am on a cereal kick these days too. I dont add anything in but I take a HUGE bowl, pour in wheat flakes, cheerios, crispix, and lucky charms/reese’s peanut butter puffs. Then I drench it all in milk! YUM! :D

I like being busy because I like feeling productive and accomplished. But I definitely need to balance it out with some “me” time otherwise I go crazy!

That casserole looks awesome! But really can you ever go wrong with cheese? :D

I actually don’t eat a lot of cereal or wraps … can’t remember the last time I had either! The older I get the less I enjoy being busy. I have been finding that it is nice to have nothing to do :-)

um, so glad to see you back! :)

btw, I am ADDICTED to cereal too! I just got home from Publix with FOUR DIFFERENT KINDS!! and I already had 3 in the pantry! :) haha

    sooooo good!

I can’t wait for tomorrow, because I’m mixing the new PB Cheerios with Strawberry Yogurt for a PB&J yogurt mess!! MMMM!!

I NEED to try that recipe for the casserole! I’m a serious cheese girl.
I also really love your reflections on what you feel could use a little more guidance from God. I personally need to start letting him control my thoughts and actions, because lately they’ve been coming from MY sinful nature. If I just trusted him to take care of things, my life would be so much easier and less stressful!

This is the first time I’ve ever read your blog, and SO glad I did! Your posts are so uplifting, and being a strong believer myself, I love reading your encouraging words and bible verses!:) I also am in love with your eats. My favorite wrap combo is a big ol’ whole wheat and flax wrap with smushed avocado, sliced leftover grilled chicken or a veggie/balck bean burger, spinach, ranch, alfalfa sprouts, and sliced tomaters. YUMMMMMM.
